Halloween Pregame
Hello again from inside Vortex Books & Comics. Halloween is just around the corner, and we are kicking off the celebration this weekend. Saturday, from 1pm to 3pm we’ll be joined by horror authors Laurel Hightower, Red Lagoe, Hailey Piper, Hunter Shea, Kenneth W. Cain, Kevin Kangas, Todd Keisling (again), and Jonathan Lees. (Please note that Samantha Kolesnik, previously announced, has unfortunately had to cancel).
No matter what you’re afraid of, they’ve got you covered — particularly if your fears involve cryptids or clowns. We’ll have plenty of copies of all of their books in stock.
We anticipate a packed house. You are also welcome to bring books from home to be signed. Please note that this event will take place in the store, rather than the annex (since the annex is currently full of a book and comic collection that Brian is appraising).
But that’s not the only way we’re getting ready for Halloween!
This Sunday, like every Sunday, is Magic the Gathering from noon until 4pm. But this week, we have the brand new Duskmourn House of Horror set in stock. Players who participate this Saturday will get a free random card from this new set at no additional charge.
