Hello from inside the Vortex. Here’s the latest happenings and arrivals
We have new comic books! This week, we’ve received our first shipment of DC Comics, Image, Oni, and others. We’re still waiting on Marvel (other than a few Spider-Man/Deadpool they sent us) and a few indies. But not a bad start.
If you’ve set up a subscription box with us, then you officially have stuff in your box!
Other new arrivals include:
A complete run of Cerebus (issues 1 through 9 have already sold).
A complete run of The X-Files comic (original series).
A few nice Golden Age comics.
New books by Samantha Kolesnik, Steven L. Shrewsbury, Kristopher Triana, and Joe R. Lansdale.
New manga, including Sakamoto Days, Sailor Moon, Alice In Borderland, and various titles by Junji Ito.
Role-playing games and supplements, including Dungeons & Dragons, Alien, G.I. Joe, and Transformers. We also have some selected vintage RPG items in stock (but those won’t last long).
Ronald Kelly t-shirts.
Comic book bags, boards, boxes, and other supplies, as well as supplies for book collectors.
And finally, a massive collection of Unknown — a pulp magazine from the 1930s and 1940s, which featured many of the great writers and artists from that era. In addition we also took in some various 1970s and 1980s zines. Here are just a few of them, all reasonably priced.
GAMING UPDATE: We have a Dungeon master and are now seeking interested players. Inquire here at the store, and fill out our sign-up sheet. Games should start in May. New and inexperienced players are welcome, as are grizzled campaign veterans.
IMPORTANT NOTE: We will be closed March 31, Easter Sunday.
